In the event of bad weather please listen to your local radio for news of closures. We will update our website as soon as it is possible. Student work in the event of FCC being closed can be found below:
At last we are going through a period of very pleasant weather, although some might say too hot! Please note that we are monitoring the situation on a daily basis and adapting our uniform expectations accordingly.
We will expect all students to come into school in the correct uniform. However, we are making concessions as are deemed appropriate. Blazers do not have to be worn in classrooms or on the field/playground at break and lunchtimes.
There are plenty of shady areas around the school and students are allowed inside if they wish to be.
As parents please ensure they bring in suntan lotion, or indeed hats, if they are going to be outside during break and lunchtimes.
Two FCC students were short listed for the Presidents Cup Award 2015.The Presidents Cup Award was originally set up by HRH Prince Phillip 25 years ago. It is now funded and run by The Sports Leader UK charity.
Uniform Ordering Reminder - We have been informed by Sportswear International that all uniform orders must be placed by Friday 14th August 2015 to guarantee delivery for the start of term in September. Please click on the link below
We will be posting the latest weekly menu here for you to see what is available each day.

GCSE Results 2014
Significant changes in the way GCSE's are measured have effected our results this year.
Frequently asked questions in response to concerns over school places, given the growth in housing developments in and around Faringdon.
At our last inspection (May 2008) OFSTED recognised that FCC “provides an outstanding caring and supportive environment in which students can flourish as both individuals and as part of the community".
Faringdon Community College is a popular and successful 11 to 18 mixed comprehensive school, situated on the edge of Faringdon, a small market town in Oxfordshire. The college occupies a large, attractively-landscaped site with an excellent range of specialist facilities.
We have specialist status in Engineering, which adds a unique and positive element to our school culture.
We are a dynamic organisation, always looking for new ideas and ways to move forward - with great students keen to do well and a strong and motivated staff.
